On July 27, 2025, the "China Sports Lottery Cup" Gansu Province Youth Athletics Championships kicked off at Sports Field in Jiayuguan City.

        A total of more than 1,200 young athletes from all cities and prefectures in the province gathered Jiayuguan to compete in a four-day competition, which includes race walking, running, high jump, long jump, javelin, discus, and shot. This event was sponsored by the Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau and organized by the Gansu Provincial Athletics and Field Hockey Sports Management Center, the Gu Provincial Athletics Association, and the Jiayuguan City Sports Bureau.
