On July 13, the 25th "I Love the Country's Coastline" Gansu Province Youth Science and Technology Sportsailing Model Education Competition kicked off at the Jiayuguan City Gymnasium.

        The sailing model education competition, which lasts for 3 days, covers three major: construction competition, navigation competition, and remote control competition. The construction competition includes the production of paper models of the "Red Boat" in the South Lake and various warship; the navigation competition includes straight-line navigation, fixed-point navigation, relay race, and confrontation race of different warship models; the remote control competition involves the pursuit race, race, and water polo race of remote control yachts, catamarans, and sailboats, etc. A total of 2,500 athletes from177 teams across the province participated in the competition. The competition was jointly organized by the Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Gansu Provincial Department Education, the Gansu Provincial Science and Technology Association, the Gansu Provincial Youth League Committee, and the Gansu Provincial Women's, and was hosted by the Gansu Provincial Aviation Sports School, the Gansu Provincial Aviation Sports Association, the Jiayuguan City Sports Bureau and the Jiayuguan City Education Bureau.
