Jiayuguan City has made comprehensive efforts to develop its rural public transport system. Through meticulous planning, accelerated infrastructure development, and service optimization, the city has successfully achieved integrated urban-rural bus services.

        From 2022 to 2024, to address challenges such as long rural routes and complex road conditions, the city introduced large buses for rural routes and optimized 170 stops based on villagers' needs and road improvements. Additionally, all rural route drivers underwent thorough and rigorous pre-job training to ensure safe and convenient travel for every passenger.

        To date, five bus routes with six vehicles now operate across the city’s three towns, serving all 17 administrative villages and achieving full connectivity—"accessible to every village and community." This initiative has significantly enhanced rural residents' travel convenience, satisfaction, and safety.

        Zhuang Jian, head of the Operations and Dispatch Department at the City Bus Company, stated: "Since their launch in 2018, the three-town rural routes have completed over 35,000 trips. We remain committed to the principles of convenience, efficiency, and public benefit, continuously improving rural transport services to ensure safe and smooth operations."

        The deepening integration of urban-rural transportation has not only provided farmers with safer and more convenient travel but also injected strong momentum into balanced regional development.
