Charge Ahead with Joy!At 7:30 AM on June 10, 2024, the Jiayuguan Great Wall Marathon & Great Wall League · Jiayuguan Station officially began, with over 7,000 runners from across China and abroad setting off in high spirits.  That morning, participants started from Xiongguan Square, passing through the broad Sports Avenue, the towering Western Pearl Meteorological Tower, the picturesque South Lake Cultural Eco-Park, and the majestic Jiayuguan Pass scenic area. The course linked these attractions like a chain, allowing runners to immerse themselves in Jiayuguan’s unique landscapes—the Great Wall, beacon towers, Heishan Mountain, the Gobi Desert, and snow-capped peaks—creating a visually stunning and exhilarating experience.  

        Leaving No One Behind on the Path to Wellness.This year’s event also invited runners with disabilities, accompanied by guides, to complete a special 1-kilometer "Dream Run." The initiative aimed to encourage more people with disabilities to step outdoors, embrace the thrill of the marathon, and fulfill this unforgettable personal milestone.  

        Coinciding with the Dragon Boat Festival, Jiayuguan City enriched the event with vibrant cultural, tourism, and business activities. By leveraging the marathon as a platform, the city fostered integrated development of sports, tourism, and commerce—creating a model where events drive travel, business, and cultural exchange.
