In the “world's largest underground gallery”, there are painted bricks of barbecue meat skewers in the Wei and Jin tombs in Jiayuguan Pass, and in 2009, Jiayuguan barbecue meat grilling technique was listed as the first batch of municipal intangible cultural heritage of Jiayuguan City. Brazilian barbecue also has a long history, originated in the 18th century, is called the Brazilian “national dish”, loved by all countries. Cuisine without borders, it breaks through the differences of language, region and culture, has become an important link of folk communication between countries, promoting the understanding and cognition of people from different countries on each other's culture, and influencing people's life in a subtle way. Mr. Ma Jialiang, Minister of the Brazilian Embassy, once visited Jiayuguan, which still leaves a deep impression on him. “Jiayuguan is a very culturally rich city with rich cuisine. Through this event we hope that more Brazilian friends can travel to Jiayuguan to visit the city and more Chinese friends can come to Brazil, I think today's event is a very good opportunity to promote our bilateral cultural exchanges.” Ma Jialiang said.

        Jiayuguan Pass is the western starting point of the Great Wall of China in the Ming Dynasty, and has been an important node of commerce and cultural exchanges along the Silk Road from ancient times to the present. In recent years, the Hsing Chi Exploration Culture Group has created classic cultural and tourism event brand activities in Jiayuguan, such as the Beacon City Black Mountain Night Run and the Jiayuguan Great Wall Marathon, and has continued to organize iconic events with the Great Wall as the theme. Qu Xiangdong, Chairman of Xingzhi Exploration Culture Group, has experienced Jiayuguan's culture and tourism in depth many times and has a very deep emotion for Jiayuguan. At the scene, he also acted as the “experience officer” of culture and tourism to promote Jiayuguan City, and led the guests to touch the culture of the Silk Road for thousands of years, explore the traces of history, and “swim” in the world's most majestic pass through his own perspective. Qu Xiangdong said, Jiayuguan City is a unique city in the Hexi Corridor, from all parts of the immigrants converge, so the culture is very open and tolerant, reflecting a particularly easy for tourists to accept the modern tourism experience.

        During the exchange activities, the Chinese and Pakistani chefs took the stage for a dialogue, introduced the characteristics and differences between the barbecue methods of China and Pakistan, and conducted a barbecue demonstration on the spot to express their respective cultural traditions through their unique flavors and production techniques, and to enhance the understanding and awareness of the two peoples of each other's cultures. Dang Fajun, the founder of Jiayuguan barbecue meat of the Chinese chef Little Party, hoped that Jiayuguan barbecue meat could spread the barbecue culture to the whole world in the future just like Brazilian barbecue meat, and looked forward to more domestic and foreign tourists visiting Jiayuguan Pass and tasting Jiayuguan barbecue meat.
