How exciting is this competition? Three highlights tell you

comprehensively

        In order to let more young students understand and experience triathlon, two experience groups, cycling and running, were specially set up after the qualifying individual race of the National Student (Youth) Games on 15 July, and age-groups of different age groups were opened for the Great Wall Gobi Challenge, so as to let more students participate in the event.

        This is the only race in China with the theme of "The Great Wall and the Gobi", which is set according to the characteristics of Jiayuguan's regional environment.

        The event reflected the local characteristics of Jiayuguan and applied to extend the distance of the cycling and running courses. The cycling distance was extended from the standard 40 kilometres to 50 kilometres and the running distance was extended from the standard 10 kilometres to 15 kilometres.
        Athletes can experience the unique scenery of the Jiayuguan Gobi and see the majestic Qilian Mountains from afar during the ride. The running course is set up along the ruins of the Great Wall, and it is a brand new experience for athletes to run along the wall on the Gobi desert: they can feel the scenery of the Great Wall and the Gobi up close.
