At eight o'clock in the morning, the closed kitchen garbage collection car drove slowly. Hearing the familiar music, the waiter in the restaurant transported the kitchen garbage can of the previous day to the door, cleaned the kitchen garbage can trailer together with the collection and transportation staff, and then transported it to the kitchen garbage treatment plant for harmless treatment.

        For a large amount of food waste, Jiayuguan City transported the collected food waste to the food waste treatment plant for harmless treatment, and achieved good results.

       Jiayuguan food waste treatment plant was put into trial operation in April 2021. It is mainly equipped with pretreatment workshop, anaerobic purification area, biogas purification area, sewage sludge treatment area and other areas. All the collected food waste and kitchen waste are uniformly treated by the food waste plant, forming a harmless, professional, efficient and resource-based food waste treatment mode.

        The waste treatment scale of the kitchen waste treatment plant is 50 tons per day and the design service life is 15 years. The urban area is divided into four areas according to the block scope and the density of commercial stores. A total of 7 special kitchen waste closed collection vehicles are invested in the city. The vehicles are packed in side barrels, with large loading capacity and environmental protection and no pollution during operation. Regional regular collection and mobile supplementary collection are adopted for operation, which is collected and transported all day from 8:00 to 22:00.
