Recently, the Ministry of ecology and environment reported the national surface water quality in July 2021 and from January to July. Beidahe River (trunk canal) in our city ranked first in the national surface water assessment section.
In recent years, our city adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, giving full play to the comprehensive coordination role of various departments, and further promoting the long river system, constantly strengthening the supervision of water sources, carrying out water environmental problems remediation and investigation and regulation of important water bodies illegal activities such as the Jiayuguan section of the Jiayuguan river. Water environment carrying capacity, and fully implement the stepped water price system for urban residents. We will promote the prevention and control of agricultural non-point source pollution, comprehensively prevent and control livestock and poultry breeding pollution, carry out the treatment of groundwater overexploitation areas, implement efficient water-saving irrigation projects in batches, and improve water efficiency. We continued to strengthen infrastructure construction, successively built a number of key water pollution prevention and control projects such as distributed sewage treatment station in Jiayuguan Industrial Park, Jiabei sewage treatment plant, phenol cyanide wastewater treatment and reuse in coking plant, urban sewage treatment facilities and supporting pipe network construction, and achieved remarkable results in water pollution prevention and control.
At present, the city has smooth rivers, solid banks, clear water and beautiful scenery. There are no sewage outlets into the river, black and smelly water bodies and inferior class V water bodies. The water environment quality maintains a good trend. The beautiful scene of harmonious coexistence between man and nature can be seen everywhere, which greatly enhances the sense of gain, happiness and security of the people of the city.
