        Jiayuguan City plans to improve the road network layout, optimize the structure of the road network, plan and build cross expressways, expand the layout of the trunk road network, change the provincial road of Jianguo, improve the highway grade, and form a trunk road network with Jiayuguan City as the core and radiating into the surrounding areas. It has formed a comprehensive transportation pattern with county and township roads as the radiation, connecting East and West, connecting north and south, organic combination of national and provincial roads with county and township roads, joint transportation of highway, railway, civil aviation and postal service, mutual supplement of class line, bus and taxi, and more perfect station construction.
        By the end of 2018, the total mileage of highways in our city has reached 1057.445 km, including 151.301 km of national roads, 367.605 km of provincial roads, 125.143 km of county roads, 20.347 km of township roads, 194.557 km of special roads and 198.472 km of village roads. The highway density has reached 36.38 kilometers per 100 square kilometers, and all residential areas in 3 towns, 17 villages and all natural villages in the city have asphalt (cement) roads. In recent years, we have mainly implemented 20 projects, including G312 Jiayuguan Qingquan highway, Great Wall tourist highway, s215, s305, s595, Jinjia Road, rural highway, fengjiagou bridge, Beidahe bridge, highway water source improvement project, maintenance project and bus station.         Traffic is also the development of a city. In recent years, Jiayuguan City has continuously enhanced the supply capacity of the city's road transport industry. There are 2839 road transport vehicles in the city, including 979 passenger cars (79 on-line passenger cars, 37 tourist cars, 743 taxis, 120 buses), 1860 freight cars (1720 ordinary freight cars, 140 dangerous freight cars). There are 19 passenger transport lines (1 across provinces, 14 across cities and 4 in rural areas). The traffic rate of towns and villages in the city reaches 100%, and that of administrative villages reaches 100%, which effectively promotes the economic and social development of the city.
