On the morning of May 27, the 2021 Gansu youth land curling championship, sponsored by Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau, organized by Gansu winter sports management center, Gansu ice and Snow Sports Association, Jiayuguan Sports Bureau and Jiayuguan Sports Federation, and co organized by Jiayuguan ice and Snow Sports Association, opened in Jiayuguan comprehensive hall.​

        The competition is divided into men's land curling and women's land curling. After the opening ceremony, the competition officially began. The first competition was started by Jiayuguan men's team and Jiuquan men's team in men's group A, Dingxi men's team and Linxia men's team in men's group B. about 100 athletes from Lanzhou, Jiayuguan, Jiuquan, Zhangye, Dingxi, Linxia and other six teams participated in the competition.
        Land curling is easy to understand, quick to start, safe and interesting. It is a sport suitable for all ages. The development and revitalization of land curling is of great significance to improve the national physical fitness and popularize ice and snow sports. Since the first national land curling competition started in Beijing in 2017, many international events of "land curling" have been held every year. Land curling Youth Championships, inter school Invitational competitions and other events provide international exchange opportunities for young floor curling enthusiasts. The youth land curling championship in Gansu Province is also an important measure to promote the sport in our province. Through this competition, it will further promote the development of land curling in our province and cultivate the interest of teenagers in this sport.
