Jiayuguan Fortress Town
"Jiayuguan Pass" means a "Beautiful Valley" as it adjoins Qilian Mountain in the south, Mazong Mountain in the north, Jiuquan Basin in the east and flat Gobi in the west. It is just situated in the narrowest place of the western corridor in a reasonable layout. With both eastern and western gates within the Pass City, there are cities for gates protection covering an area of more than 500 square meters respectively. Both the city gates are open to the south, while in the west of the western enclosure, there built an outer city, and in the middle of the wall of the outer city, a pass gate is set in the west. On the lintel, three Chinese words of Jiayuguan are inscribed. Within the Pass City, the existing buildings mainly include Guerrilla General Office, Official Well, Guanyu Temple, Stage and Wenchang Pavilion.

Take bus No.4 or No.6 to Guancheng scenic spot.
Self driving line:
It takes about 30 minutes to go to Guancheng by bike from the city. Along the way, you will pass the 312 National Highway Bridge. Under the bridge is a dense railway network, which is very spectacular.

Dong Lake ecotourism scenic spot
Jiayuguan Dong Lake eco-tourism scenic spot is the largest ecological construction project in the history of Jiayuguan City, and it is also a special site for the national triathlon. The lake water comes from the snow water of Qilian Mountain, and forms three connected lake areas through artificial diversion. The meteorological tower in the park is the highest meteorological tower in China and the landmark building of Jiayuguan. The shape of the weather tower is just like a dolphin jumping out of the sea. This is also echoed by Jiayuguan City in the vast Gobi of Northwest China. If you climb to the top, you can see snow mountains and desert at the same time.

The first piers of the world
Located in the south of Jiayuguan Guan City 7 kilometers, and Qilian snow peak across the river, it is the first pier starting point on the western end of the the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty. The first pier by the Ming Dynasty Gansu Town Suzhou bingbeidao Li Hanzhu in Jiajing 18 years (1539). The original length, width and height are 14 meters, a square pyramid, the later part of wall collapsed, only existing in the abutment along the wall, the dangerous. In order to protect this precious historical site, in recent years, the Jiayuguan municipal government invested funds, and built the first the Great Wall with 30 meters above the north side, and set up guardrail to protect the first pier. Cantilever the Great Wall
Located in Jiayuguan City, 8 kilometers north of Shiguan Montenegro on the north side of the north slope, about 14 kilometers away from the city, a part of the military defense system of Jiayuguan. Zixuan Wine Manor

Jiayuguan Great Wall Museum
Jiayuguan Great Wall Museum is the first museum with a special topic on the history and culture of the Great Wall in China. The original museum was built in October 1989 in Jiayuguan City. The new museum is located in Jiayuguan cultural relics scenic area. It was built on May 1, 2003, covering an area of 4523.36 square meters and a total construction area of 3499 square meters.
Built at the end of 1988, the Great Wall Museum is the first special museum in China to display the culture of the Great Wall comprehensively and systematically. The display of cultural relics fully uses modern scientific and technological techniques such as sound, light and electricity.
With the theme of "the Great Wall", the exhibition is divided into four parts: "the great wall of the spring and Autumn period, the great wall of the Warring States period", "the great wall of the Qin and Han Dynasties", "the great wall of the Northern Wei, Sui, Tang, Liao and Jin Dynasties" and "the great wall of the Ming Dynasty".
The collection has the oil painting "the Great Wall ten thousand li map", which condenses the main landscape of the great wall of China in the painting volume by means of freehand and realistic expression. The oil painting area is 220.5 square meters, which is the largest in Northwest China.
