Jiayuguan City is an important node city on the Silk Road Economic Belt, and was designated as a national comprehensive transportation hub in February 2017. Jiayuguan International Port District will base itself on the existing railways, highways and other means of transportation, take the cooperation with the coastal international ports as the basis, rely on the international logistics zone and the domestic integrated logistics zone as the support and form the land and sea transport cluster zone and junction point in the inland. Jiayuguan International Port District shall cover a planned area of 11 square kilometers and consists of six major sections including Jiayuguan Railway Logistics Park, Multi-modal Transport Logistics Park, Dacaotan Marshalling Station, Jiabei Logistics Park, the international airport and Jiadong Logistics Park. The international airport is divided into three levels: the core zone, the cluster zone and the radiation zone. The construction of airport infrastructure and service platforms shall be carried out in the short term, and efforts shall be made to speed up the construction of the airport economic core zone. Efforts shall also be made to enhance the industrial functions of the airport and speed up the construction of the four major industrial parks of the airport economic zone. The Comprehensive Bonded Logistics Center covers a planned area of approximately 1000 to 2000 mu and mainly involves the construction of a comprehensive office area, a port joint inspection building complex, regulatory facilities, information technology platforms, bonded warehousing, infrastructure and other projects. Jiayuguan Railway Logistics Park covers a planned area of approximately 3,000 mu and involves the planned construction of an integrated service center, a railway functional zone, a highway-railway joint transport logistics zone, a highway warehousing logistics zone and a commodity vehicles and international trade logistics zone. Dacaotan Marshalling Station covers a total planned area of approximately 3,000 mu and plans to be opened in Dacaotan on the Lanzhou-Xinjiang railway line with the planned construction of a new direct cargo yard and a railway logistics center. Jiabei Logistics Park relies on the highway-railway joint transport as the basic means of transportation and provides a variety of services including storage and handling, logistics and distribution, platform trading, catering and accommodation, vehicle refueling and vehicle repair. Jiadong Logistics Park covers an area of approximately 2000 mu and mainly involves the construction of the logistics auto parts supply city, an agricultural products wholesale market, a car culture industrial park, steel building materials trading market, an e-commerce logistics park, a home furnishing cultural industrial park and other business logistics projects.
