The launch of this pure electric mini bus, led and dominated by the Municipal Transportation Bureau and the Urban Road Transport Administration, aims to promote renewal iteration and quality upgrade of public transport vehicles in the city. It is understood that the newly put into operation vehicles include 18 14-seater 6.9-meter mini models and 1 19-seater 5.99-meter custom models, which will all be used to replace the 19 gaspowered buses put into operation from 2014 to 2015. With the arrival of the new batch of buses, the pure electric rate of public transport in city has been increased to 74.44%, and the construction of the green travel system of public transport has further shown its effectiveness.

To ensure the precise and efficient operation of public transport vehicles, the municipal transportation department has formulated the best transport capacity allocation plan in advance based on the passenger flow monitoring data of the route and the assessment results the old vehicle conditions. Among them, the 18 mini buses will be mainly used on bus routes 2, 6, and 12, and the overall operational of the routes will be improved by replacing old buses; the 1 custom bus will be exclusively put into the airport shuttle, increasing the number of operating vehicles on the route to , achieving efficient bidirectional operation. At the same time, relevant departments have also coordinated the allocation of 5 tourist business buses, which can be flexibly dispatched according to flight, to provide more comprehensive service guarantees for the travel of citizens and tourists.
