In early summer, Tawen Village in Wenshu Town is buzzing with construction activity. As a demonstration model for cold and dry facility agriculture the city, the construction project of the Wenshu Town Cold and Dry Agriculture Experimental Base has been progressing smoothly since it broke ground on April 4, and is expected to be fully by the end of August. Relying on the technical support of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the project will integrate science popularization, achievement transformation, and smart planting, injecting momentum to increase agricultural efficiency and farmers' income.

Once completed, the project will leverage the technical support of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to ensure the sales of agricultural products order-based agriculture and guaranteed purchase models. At the same time, it will create a science and technology courtyard for the vegetable industry, building a technical transmission system of "experts leading personnel, and key personnel leading farmers". The base will produce 8 million high-quality seedlings annually, prioritizing the planting needs of various villages, effectively reducing farmers' seedling costs, integrating land and labor resources to form a complete industrial chain of "unified varieties, unified technology, and unified sales". It is expected to drive the average per-mu income from vegetable to over 8,000 yuan, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of cold and dry agriculture in the city.
