On March 16, the newly built passenger car depot, a core supporting project of the Jiayuguan Station renovation, officially went into operation, marking a leapfrogprovement in the station's train handling capacity and passenger train maintenance support capabilities.

Covering an area of 4,689 square meters, the new depot features—preparation lines, storage lines, and temporary repair lines—with 9 additional storage lines reserved. It is equipped with a temporary repair shed and a comprehensive preparation building. This facility omprehensive upgrade to a modern passenger car "4S shop" in terms of daily maintenance, preparation, and temporary repairs, holding profound significance for enhancing the overall transportation efficiency the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway corridor and ensuring the smooth flow of passenger and freight transport.
