At around 9 a.m. on May 16, the "May 19 I Want to Walk" Jiayuguan Great Hiking Event kicked off at the east gate of the First Pass of the Great Wall Scenic Area. With the theme of "Hiking the Great Wall of the Pass, Building a City of Sports," the event attracted about 3,000 hiking enthusiasts from all over the country to gather at the foot of the pass, measuring the history of the Great Wall with their and writing their passion for sports with their sweat.
